OverviewEstablished in 1968. Upgraded in 1999. Renamed in 2006 Yuanpei University was established in November 1964 in order to educate paramedical technologists, improve the quality of medical care, and promote public health and preventive medicine. With keen insight and strong determination, Mr. Tsai Pin-Kung, the school founder and a specialist in radiology, was able to establish the first medical junior college in this country. On the 28th of October 1965, the school was formally established under the permission of the Ministry of Education. The date of the 8th of November has been designated as the birthday of Yuanpei. In the fall of 2003, the first three graduate institutes of Medical Image, Biotechnology, and Business and Management will be established. In August 2005, with the support of the Board of Directors and the hard work of all the school faculty, staff and students, the school become Yuanpei University composed of biomedical science and technology, health science, and management colleges that follow the outstanding school tradition, and promotes cutting-edge information technology, academic distinction and excellence, and looks globally.
